About me
In 2001, I founded my own photography studio in Vienna, specializing in food, still life, and nature photography. Since then, I have worked for renowned national and international clients, photographed numerous books, and published many photo series in magazines.
I've been working as a photographer for over 25 years. I started out in advertising and still life photography, with my own studio in Vienna. I also have extensive experience in visual branding, including at my partner Michael Wenzel's winery.
Over time, my perspective changed. My connection to nature grew stronger—as did my realization of how much it is lacking in urban spaces. This was the starting point for my artistic path.
Flourish – Framed Nature was born from this: a photographic concept at the intersection of healing art, interior design, and the silent effect of images. It's a true passion project – it began as a quiet idea in the early 2000s, when I began experimenting with flower essences from all over the world. Their effects deeply impressed me. I thought: If plants can have an effect on a spiritual level through ingestion through the mouth, why not through the eyes? What we look at can be just as healing as what we swallow.
After countless thought processes, experiences and years of maturing, this has become a photographic practice.
I photograph what is impossible to capture: the moment when light touches the leaves. The quiet power flowing between branches. The warmth of a late summer evening, captured for a long winter.
My camera is my tool – my third eye, my intuition. For over two decades, I have followed my love of nature, of beauty in the inconspicuous. I live between city and countryside, between my Viennese studio and Burgenland vineyards. These worlds are reflected in my images: as calm and movement, as depth and structure.
My photographs invite you to pause for a moment. Take a deep breath. And in the silence, rediscover something you may have forgotten:
Connection.
With you. With nature. With the moment.
