Flourish – Framed Nature is the art project of Vienna-based photographer Sonja Priller. She devotes herself to nature in pared-down, quiet nature portraits created over years in the same place. Vital Art is art that does rooms and people good: images that calm the eye, create a connection to nature and make a place where we can arrive. Sonja Priller realises this in her nature portraits – images that show nature as a counterpart. Her work has been shown at the Ephemere Photo Fest in Tokyo (2025) and at Reaktor Wien (2024), featured in Artdoc Photography Magazine (2025) and awarded an Honorable Mention by The Independent Photographer (2024). www.flourish.at

Artist Biography

Sonja Priller is a Vienna-based photographer specializing in large-format nature portraits at the intersection of artistic photography and spatial impact.

After more than 20 years as a photographer in the advertising industry – with a focus on food and still life photography for national and international clients – Priller increasingly turned to nature photography. Under the name Flourish – Framed Nature, she has since developed her own artistic position: nature portraits that do not document but create atmosphere – as "Vital Art" for interiors, designed to vitalize and at the same time soothe.

Her roots lie in Upper Austria – it was there that her eye for light and landscape and her independent artistic character were shaped. Sonja Priller lives and works in Vienna.
